Sprouts: Oct 15-16 (CORE)

On Tuesday we read “The Grateful Book”. We discussed what we were grateful for and made a journal entry.

We also foraged our favourite leaves to make leaf turkeys!

Our Tuesday trek took us to our favourite tree climbing spot where races were had, forts were made, and performances were shared! Barrett and Preston created “violins” with foraged sticks and played us some originals, while Oakley used found objects to make a drum! 🎶

The Sprouts worked on their Apple diagrams, colouring and labelling each part today. We also shared our journal entries about what we are grateful for. We then headed outside for outdoor detectives to do some more mass exploration. Students chose an object from the “Mass Mystery Bag” and then searched for something comparable in mass, within the yard. We used our balance scale to exemplify whether the items were close to equal mass or not.

Today, of course, was our Gratitude Feast! We were very grateful our Seedling & Sapling friends who cooked, baked, and served us a delicious meal! YUM! 😍

Thanks for an amazing week. They were so excited to bring food home from their feast and so proud they grew their own yellow watermelon which was so good btw....much better than what I picked up with OTMO. I know this is definitely the best school for my kids.

It is too bad you can't save pics. I love Preston's turkey pic so much
