The students thoroughly enjoyed their last day with Courtney R., on Monday. She recapped their learning and they then made chakra bracelets. In the classroom we completed our final chakra project using the school photos that were taken.
Preston & Mason’s sister Mila, joined us for a trial this week. She was excited to be amongst many familiar peers and our students welcomed and supported her with open arms. During L&N centres, Mila worked alongside other students to learn about our weekly activities. Centres included: Honey Bee Life Cycle, Addition + Subtraction, The Grocery Game, Journals, and Insect Exploration.
We took Mila over to the tree climbing forest on our Tuesday Trek and Preston started teaching his peers how to create fire using a magnifying glass and dry leaves. The students also found a fort built by Prince Charles students in the forest and decided it would be a fun idea to add to it and watch the creation continue to grow between the two groups of students.
This was our last week to complete badge work. I reviewed completed badges with the students last week and they set their goals for this week. Everyone feels great about their accomplishments and I’m proud of their efforts and commitments. 👏🏼
Mystery Bag has concluded for the year.
