This week we made space for all things love 💕. Our read-alouds focused on self-love and being our own friend when necessary. This concept allowed the students to reflect on how they treat themselves and encouraged them to practice forgiveness. We also spoke about perspective in connection with gratitude.
This is what else we got up to:
- Making seed paper from our scrap bin paper & adding chamomile seeds
- Using our paper to create valentine cards
- Watching borax crystals grow on our pipe cleaner hearts
- Reusing our dried up markers to make water colour
- Adding our water colour to vinegar and mixing it with baking soda in our science lab
- Exercising our fine motor skills by creating a tissue paper heart craft
Today the students enjoyed exchanging valentines during our lunch hour. The afternoon was full of fun learnings around reptiles with our visitors from Southwest Pet! We then celebrated Kennley and Isla with yummy double-chocolate cookies. ☺️
Here are some other fun moments from our week!
There will be no Mystery Bag next week as we are off on Monday (Family Day).
Mind sending the video of Jude with the snake Courtney I can’t seem to download.
