Today we arrived outside in the beautiful sunshine and epic amounts of snow!!
We began our day with outside play on the snow mountain! Lola and Ethan used the toboggan to slide down and experimented with which side they thought would be best. I dug a hole in the mountain of course lol.
Morning circle was beautiful in the sunshine and brisk air! We breathed up Mother Earth energy this morning and it warmed our toes up!! We pulled our cards for our sit spots and have wonderful messages from our animal helpers.
After circle we headed inside for snack that turned into lunch time. We had some conversation while eating about how Valentine's Day is a reminder to give ourselves love everyday...and when we do, our "bucket" overflows and we can share that overflowing love with others. We read "Have you filled a bucket today?" And connected to all the beings we receive love from, how to be a bucket filler (rather than a bucket dipper) and made a short list of the things we loved about ourselves. Larry (the puppet) helped us out as well!
After our story we had a dance party and followed that up with some crayon relief watercolour creations with a theme of love imagery.
After some serious make believe play about a giant in the church, we practiced using our special powers to make sure all the spaces in the church were clear of the giant who left a giant toothpick and a pinky nail! We didn't find the giant anywhere!
After our play, we made some self love potion with geranium, ylang ylang, sandalwood and lavender and coconut carrier oil. We infused our potions with lots of loving thoughts while we mixed them and the jars are a beautiful green colour to keep the potions safe from sunlight AND reflect the energy of the heart chakra.
After our potions were ready, we suited up for our outdoor hike to look for heart shapes in nature. We found a few and made a few....then we played on the enormous snow banks.
We headed back inside for warm lemon balm tea, some sum swamp gaming, another dance party, and sharing board to end our day!
