Thursday
Today we discussed a variety of weather types through a read aloud, as our weather has been all over the place lately! We decided to manifest the type of weather we wanted more of through crafting. I laid out a variety of crafting materials and put on some creation music and we all got to work. Most students chose to call in Spring-like weather and shared their creations with the group.
We then made a batch of granola bars, adding a few different ingredients than last time. After lunch we headed out for our hike and showed Roman more of the park. The students enjoyed their imaginative play. We came back to have tea and our granola bars after our sharing board.
Friday
Our day started with a small circle, as we were missing a couple of Friday friends. Our guided meditation of our roots reaching deep into the Earth and feeling the warmth beginning to grow, was wonderful.
After snack, we went outside for a short walk to the park, but we returned because Lola wasn't feeling well. We read stories and listened to lullaby music, until Lola's Mom picked her up. When illness comes on quickly, the only person we want is Mum, a warm blanket and a fluffy pillow. We are wishing you sweet dreams Lola as you rest! Oakley, too!
We enjoyed the rest of our day by making art.
Ethan felt it was a good idea to welcome Spring with new art on the windows, and he can't wait to show everyone when we return on March 17th.
I suggested the paper doll method of folding and cutting paper, and we thought watercolours would make our creations beautiful. Ethan has some great ideas to share with everyone to add more spring scenes, characters, creatures, and plants.
Have a safe, and happy March Break, and we will see everyone in 10 days.
Love the new art on the windows Pam! Looked beautiful for the show last night <3
Thanks Pam for the kind care of my girl until I got there. It takes a lot for her to fall asleep so she much have felt the deep care for her which makes me love this school even more 💜
